ScratchPad
I Want To Test jQuery 1.4.x
I just want to test out some stupid stuff, I don't want to setup a new visual studio solution, or create a local folder with some random files that I'll forget about. I just want to play around with jQuery. Or prototype and scriptaculous, or mootools, or whatever. Wouldn't it be nice to just go to a local site on your machine, very quickly add the needed references, and start testing without ever opening visual studio or notepad++?
That's my goal with ScratchPad. I haven't looked because I don't care, but there are probably thousands of apps named ScratchPad, this one probably does the same thing in theory that all of the others do.
I want to be able to change the doctype on the fly to see what kind of effects doing that has on my page.
I want to test out form designs and preserve them.
That's the direction of ScratchPad. I've been thinking about something like this for awhile. I think it's a cool idea; the intention is not for public consumption of anything produced with the tool, it's strictly what the name implies, it's a ScratchPad.
NOTE: This is the first cut of the tool so it will be changing mucho
