Failed connection to the IMAP server

Hello,

When trying to log in via Webmail (using RoundCube), I get the error: "Failed connection to the IMAP server"

When executing a command:telnet 127.0.0.1 143

I see the following:Trying 127.0.0.1...telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refusedtelnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

Tried to run IMAP:service courier-imap start

The result is the same.

Team:ps ax | grep courier

Outputs: 6546 ? S 0:00 /usr/libexec/courier-authlib/authdaemond 6565 ? S 0:00 /usr/libexec/courier-authlib/authdaemond 6842 pts/1 S+ 0:00 grep courier

I'm not very good at server administration, I tried to Google a solution to the problem, but I didn't find a solution.

Who can tell you what the problem may be, in which direction to dig ?

How can I check the health of the IMAP server ?

Thanks.

The limit on comments has ended-so the answer.hostname -f will just show the name of your host. If it says unknown, it means you haven't set it up, so it can't detect it. You would explain something in more detail: where did you read it, what would you try? What do you have in /etc/sysconfig/network ?
